Kiddo Feature of the Month: Ana🦋 Meet Ana, 6-years old, born with Downs Syndrome, along with an irresistible personality, strong will & an absolutely irrepressible smile ! An outgoing first grader, increasingly verbal and proud of her expanding achievements, Ana lives with her wonderfully supportive Mom & two older brothers. When Ana began therapy with @equinoterapiaSMA, her most frequent remark was “No. I can’t do it.” She was nervous, stressed, fearful of horses, didn’t trust her own body. Her vestibular system was not yet fully developed, and simply being up on a horse made her feel deeply insecure. Step by step, the process of @equinoterapiasma encouraged Ana to confront her fears and to discover something new: her own courage, strength and growing skills. Through equine therapy, we work on Ana’s focus, balance, posture, verbal interactions & cognitive awareness, promoting her dexterity, self confidence, ability to communicate more widely. Out goal: To support this terrific kid to dream big, find her place in the world and enjoy an ever increasing all-around independence in daily life.
